Manchester City Goal Stopper and Brazil international Ederson will become the most hated player after he is set to Complete a shocking move to Saudi Arabia Club
Ederson, the goalkeeper for Manchester City, apparently accepted a remarkable two-year proposition and reached personal terms with one of the top teams in Saudi Arabia.
After spending almost £35 million to join City from Benfica in 2017, the 30-year-old Brazil international has played in over 300 games for the defending Premier League winners.
During that time, he has won the Champions League, two FA Cups, and six league crowns under Pep Guardiola, whom Ederson recently referred to as the best coach in football history.
“Pep functions similarly like a GPS,” he clarified. “You enter the address, and it provides you with the options, including the best fit for us. After that, all you do is follow.
“It’s incredible, Pep is the greatest ever, and I feel like he lives football every day.”
But it now appears that the Brazilian goalkeeper may depart England this summer after seven trophy-filled seasons in Manchester.
Journalist Gianluigi Longari claims that Ederson has really reached a personal terms agreement with Al Nassr, a Saudi Pro League team. Longari further states that Manchester City will immediately begin talks with Ederson.
Following the departure of first-choice goalkeeper David Ospina at the conclusion of his contract, Al Nassr is presently searching for a replacement keeper.
Not surprisingly, they are prepared to spend a lot of money to make it happen.
Cesar Luis Merlo reports that Al Nassr has offered Ederson a deal of €60 million [£51 million] spread over two years, or around £490,000 a week.
During the summer transfer window, Al Nassr was one of the busiest teams, bringing in Otavio, Sadio Mane, Aymeric Laporte, Seko Fofana, Marcelo Brozovic, and Alex Telles.
On the other hand, Mane could be leaving this summer. Al Nsssr would consider bids for the former forward for Bayern Munich and Liverpool, according to the Daily Mail.
They are also considering a deal for Moussa Diaby of Aston Villa as a possible substitute. Before signing a reported £51.9 million agreement to join the Premier League, Diaby was linked to a transfer to Saudi Arabia.
