Chelsea Football Club has released VERY SAD NEWS on Enzo Fernandez following ‘r@cis chant’ and explain exactly what is going to happen to the Argentine international

Following Enzo Fernandez’s video of himself and his Argentina teammates performing a purportedly “racist” song about the France national team, Chelsea released a statement.

After La Albiceleste’s victory over Colombia in the Copa America final on Sunday night, Fernandez went live on Instagram.

Here, many players from Argentina were heard chanting a song that targets French players who have familial ties to several African countries and who own a French passport.

“They play for France, but their parents are from Angola,” the chant’s lyrics stated. Their father is Nigerian, while their mother is from Cameroon. However, French is included on their passport.

President Philippe Diallo “condemns in the harshest terms the inappropriate and discriminatory insults that were made against the players of the French squad,” according to a statement released by The France Football Federation on Tuesday afternoon.

In addition, it stated that the FFF will report to FIFA about the “discriminatory and racially abusive statements.”

Early on Wednesday morning, Fernandez, who started for Argentina in their 1-0 victory over Colombia, issued a statement of his own.

He recorded a video on his Instagram feed amid the celebrations for the national team, for which he expressed his profound regret.

“There is no justification whatsoever for the song’s extremely rude language. I regret getting sucked into the excitement of our Copa America festivities and declare my opposition to prejudice in all its manifestations.

“Those words, those moments, and that film don’t represent my values or my personality. I sincerely apologize.”

Since then, Chelsea has made clear why they decided to launch an internal disciplinary process in response to the event.
