Man Utd to allow Mason Mount to leave! 🚨 In a stunning twist, Manchester United are reportedly set to part ways with their £60m signing, Mason Mount. The talented midfielder, who joined with high hopes, is now on the brink of a shocking exit. Fans are left in disbelief as this unexpected decision unfolds. What’s next for Mount and the Red Devils? Stay tuned for all the latest updates and reactions!

Manchester United are reportedly ready to sell Mason Mount this summer, just a year after his £60 million transfer. Mount, who was expected to be a significant addition when he joined from Chelsea, had an underwhelming first season at Old Trafford.

Mount’s debut season was marred by two separate injuries, limiting him to just 20 appearances across all competitions and a single goal.

Despite his struggles, he managed to secure his first major trophy with United, coming on as a late substitute in the FA Cup final where Erik ten Hag’s side triumphed over Manchester City 2-1.

However, his inconsistent form and fitness issues led to his omission from Gareth Southgate’s England squad. Mount, who had previously played in Euro 2020 and the 2022 World Cup, has not represented the national team for over 18 months.

Despite initial plans to give the 25-year-old a chance to prove himself in the 2024/25 season, HITC reports that United are now willing to sell him if a suitable offer comes along. Mount had been given a lucrative contract until 2028, but recent developments have changed the club’s stance.

Since new sporting director Dan Ashworth’s arrival, United have spent £88.5 million on teenage defender Leny Yoro and Dutch forward Joshua Zirkzee, necessitating player sales to balance the finances. Mount, along with Brazilian teammate Antony, has been identified as one of the players to be offloaded.

The decision follows discussions between Ten Hag and club executives regarding potential departures. Casemiro is another player whose future is uncertain, with rumors of a possible move to Saudi Arabia.

Speculation about Mount’s departure has intensified with United being linked to Dutch star Xavi Simons. The 21-year-old PSG winger, who was loaned to RB Leipzig last season, is expected to leave the French club.
