England FLOP manager Garath Southgate is set to become Manchester city manager if Pep Guardiola leaves this summer according to top reporters

Jermaine Jenas, a former England midfielder, thinks FA authorities have cause for optimism over their possible pursuit of Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola.

The Football Association must make a significant choice on the future manager of the highly skilled squad following Gareth Southgate’s resignation as Three Lions manager following four successful tournament campaigns, which included back-to-back failures in the European Championship final.

The FA is apparently keeping an eye on City manager Guardiola and is even prepared to wait until his contract expires in 2025. Although he has 47 caps and led his country to Olympic gold at the 1992 Games, the Catalan has previously stated that he hopes to manage at the international level someday. However, it is improbable that he would manage Spain.

The 41-year-old Jenas thinks England is one of four nations in the globe that has a chance to sign Guardiola. “I think Pep is the best choice since he is from Catalonia.” Ahead of the Formula E Grand Prix last weekend, Jenas said to Mirror Football, “I wouldn’t have guessed he was going to coach Spain.”

“One day, Pep will be able to manage on a global scale.” And the only question is which country—Brazil, Portugal, England, or Germany—will host. He will eventually carry it out.”

Jenas feels that a manager who enjoys playing attacking football is what England needs. There have been mentions about Eddie Howe of Newcastle and Graham Potter, a free agent.
