Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Sofyan Amrabat permanently, but there’s a specific condition involved.
During his loan spell at Old Trafford last season, the Moroccan midfielder made 30 appearances, including just nine starts in the Premier League. Although he faced challenges throughout most of the season, his performance improved towards the end, sparking debate about a potential permanent stay at United.
The initial agreement with Fiorentina included a £16.8 million buy option, which United has opted not to activate, according to Fabrizio Romano. Nonetheless, Erik ten Hag, a supporter of Amrabat, is open to negotiating new terms with the Serie A club to secure a permanent transfer.
In May, Amrabat expressed his desire to remain at United in an interview with Ziggo Sport. He stated, “Do I already know what I’m going to do next year? No. We are going to talk. Staying is certainly an option. I think it has been a very difficult season. For Manchester United, it needs to be much better, and also for me personally. We are going to talk.
