Spanish Club Real Sociedad is Set to offer FLOP player in Exchange of Liverpool Star boy. Liverpool is set to accept the proposal this week

As international tournaments wrap up, the transfer market is gearing up, with Liverpool potentially making a significant move.

Japanese news source Sponichi Annex has reported that Takefusa Kubo from Real Sociedad is likely to join the esteemed English club Liverpool.

The report indicates that negotiations are nearing completion, with Liverpool ready to offer €65 million, marking the largest contract in Japanese soccer history.

Kubo, a right winger, may initially play as a backup to Mo Salah, considering his age and the time needed to adapt to the Premier League.

Last season, Kubo scored seven goals and provided five assists in 41 appearances for Real Sociedad, which aren’t standout statistics.

Throughout his career, including spells at Mallorca, Getafe, and Villarreal, Kubo has not posted high numbers.

Additionally, the report mentions that Kubo has begun taking English lessons, and Wataru Endo’s presence at Liverpool has been a key factor in persuading him to move.

While Kubo may not be the most exciting name linked to Liverpool, if Richard Hughes, Michael Edwards, and Arne Slot are enthusiastic about him, perhaps fans should be too.
