Man Utd reignite their pursuit of an €80m England star! As the summer transfer window heats up, the Red Devils have turned their attention to this top talent, considering him a prime alternative to Ugarte and Amrabat. With the club’s midfield in need of reinforcements, this move could be a game-changer for the upcoming season. Fans are buzzing with excitement as the club’s transfer strategy unfolds. Stay tuned for the latest updates on this potential blockbuster signing

Manchester United have rekindled their interest in Sporting’s Morten Hjulmand as an alternative to their primary target, Manuel Ugarte.

United have reportedly reached personal terms with Ugarte, who is eager to join Old Trafford. Despite this, the transfer is stalled due to Manchester United’s reluctance to meet Paris Saint-Germain’s €70 million valuation for Ugarte.

Consequently, there have been rumors about United potentially intervening in AC Milan’s pursuit of Youssouf Fofana, although Monaco has recently doubled their asking price for him.

Now, reports from Football Transfers suggest that United are considering Hjulmand again as an option. The Danish player is noted for his positional discipline and experience in a possession-based team, though he is considered less aggressive than Ugarte.

Earlier, United were linked with Hjulmand during the January transfer window and had even proposed a swap involving Facundo Pellistri. However, the interest in Hjulmand is intriguing, given United’s hesitation to spend €70 million on Ugarte, as Hjulmand has an €80 million release clause. There are speculations that Sporting might be open to player exchanges along with a portion of the transfer fee.

Hjulmand expressed his contentment at Sporting in April, having joined from Lecce for £15 million last summer. He emphasized the significance of Estadio Jose Alvalade and his happiness at the club.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has stated that Ugarte remains Manchester United’s top midfield target, with Sofyan Amrabat also a potential option despite not making his loan move permanent. Romano mentioned ongoing discussions with Monaco regarding Youssouf Fofana and Vanderson but reiterated Ugarte and Amrabat as the primary focus.

Romano explained that negotiations with PSG over Ugarte are ongoing, with a player agreement in place. The decision now lies with Manchester United, following significant spending on Leny Yoro.

Regarding Matthijs de Ligt, Bayern Munich insists on a €50 million fee, but United prefers a structure involving add-ons. De Ligt is keen on a move to United, but the outcome depends on outgoing transfers. This situation also affects Jonathan Tah, who awaits de Ligt’s move to Bayern as part of a transfer domino effect.
