Rodri has been charged by UEFA and given a punishment which will end his career! This is ruthless from UEFA! 😱

Al-Ittihad from the Saudi Pro League has reached out to Manchester City regarding the potential transfer of goalkeeper Ederson.

The Brazilian player is reportedly considering a move from the Premier League to the Middle East. According to The Mail, Al-Ittihad has put forward a £25 million bid for the 30-year-old.

However, Manchester City considers this offer too low and is seeking at least double that amount, citing Ederson’s vital role in the upcoming season.

City acknowledges the difficulty of keeping Ederson for the long term despite their high valuation. Ederson is currently in the United States for pre-season training with manager Pep Guardiola and his teammates.

Discussions have started about potential replacements if Ederson leaves. Gianluigi Donnarumma has faced criticism for his ball-handling skills, particularly during a Champions League match against Real Madrid where hesitation led to a goal. This emphasizes the need for a goalkeeper skilled with the ball at their feet.

Stefan Ortega, a member of Manchester City’s squad, is noted for his passing abilities, composure, and shot-stopping skills. Familiar with Guardiola’s demands, Ortega is considered a potential successor to Ederson.

City’s demand for a higher transfer fee highlights Ederson’s importance and the necessity of finding a replacement who fits Guardiola’s tactical system.
