Manchester United fans, brace yourselves! With the summer transfer window fast approaching, the Red Devils are eyeing three top-tier right-backs to bolster their squad. From versatile playmakers to defensive stalwarts, these potential signings could redefine our backline. Who do you think should wear the United jersey next season? Stay tuned for in-depth analysis and all the latest updates on our top targets!

With the signings of Leny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee already confirmed, Manchester United is showing strong intent in the 2024 summer transfer window.

The new INEOS transfer team is reportedly focusing on acquiring a new right-back, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka potentially leaving if a suitable offer is made. Jeremie Frimpong’s expired release clause at Bayer Leverkusen also means his price is now open-ended.

To assist new sporting director Dan Ashworth and his team in their scouting efforts, 90min has identified three right-backs Manchester United should target this summer.

For the best available right-back, Denzel Dumfries is the prime candidate. Dumfries has demonstrated his exceptional talent during his time at Inter and with the Netherlands at Euro 2024, standing out as one of the few genuinely world-class right-backs. With his contract at San Siro expiring next summer, the Dutch international could be available for around €30m this year, which would be a bargain for a player of his quality. Dumfries’ prowess on both offense and defense would significantly enhance Erik ten Hag’s squad.

A younger option to Dumfries is Amar Dedic, a player linked with Inter as a possible replacement for Dumfries. The 21-year-old has impressed since breaking into Salzburg’s first team over the last two seasons, primarily due to his offensive capabilities. Dedic averages two successful take-ons per game, 2.67 progressive carries, and has contributed 12 goals over two seasons with the Austrian club. He would be a developmental signing with the potential to become a top player.

The most expensive option of the three, and perhaps the most actively linked with a move, is Vanderson. The 23-year-old has been on the radar of several top European clubs for years. His speed and ability to overlap on the right flank make him an intriguing prospect for Manchester United. However, whether they are willing to spend €40m on Vanderson when Dumfries is reportedly available for €10m lessuncertain.
