VERY SAD NEWS as Former Manchester United Star has announced his retiring from football this morning, and he is just 31yrs the peak of his career

At the age of 37, a former Premier League defender has declared his retirement from professional football.

Over the course of his 18-year career, the right-back played for nine different clubs in the Premier League and EFL.

However, he will be most remembered for being a member of the Leicester City squad that unexpectedly won the Premier League in 2016.

The man in question appeared in 133 games for the Foxes, 32 of which came in the renowned season that Claudio Ranieri oversaw.

In December 2023, he signed with non-league team Macclesfield, however he has since decided to end his career.

I can’t express how much I appreciate all of the hardworking individuals at every club—security, coach drivers, etc.

Being a professional football player was the goal when I was a teenager. I couldn’t have asked for more—I’ve played over 400 games, earned prizes, and made lifelong friends.

Ultimately, without spectators, football is nothing, as the legendary Sir Matt Busby once stated. I thus want to thank all of the supporters of the teams for which I have worn the shirt. Even though we had good and terrible days, it meant the world to us to know that you had our backs.

“I’m at last excited about what the future has in store.”

After going through the ranks at Manchester United, Simpson played eight games for the club while on loan at Royal Antwerp, Sunderland, Ipswich, and Blackburn.
