Liverpool fans left in shock after hearing the terrible news about Luis Diaz this morning. 😢 Things go from bad to worse! 😖💔

Liverpool remains resolute in their quest to acquire Newcastle United winger Anthony Gordon.

The English winger has been linked with a move to Anfield throughout the summer, and Liverpool shows no signs of relinquishing their interest in the former Everton player.

Gordon was reportedly available for transfer when Newcastle faced Profit and Sustainability challenges, with the club reportedly offering him to Liverpool.

However, after offloading Yankuba Minteh and Elliot Anderson, Newcastle addressed their financial concerns and decided to keep Gordon.

Despite this, Liverpool remains eager to sign him. According to Football Insider, they are willing to sell Luis Diaz for £50 million to create space for Gordon.

The Colombian international had attracted interest from Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain earlier this summer, but those clubs have since shifted their focus to other targets.

In addition to pursuing Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi, the report highlights Arne Slot’s interest in signing a left-sided forward, with Gordon fitting the profile of the player Liverpool seeks.

Liverpool continues to show strong interest in Gordon and is expected to make a move before the summer transfer window closes.

With only three weeks left until the window shuts, the Merseyside club cannot afford to delay and needs to act swiftly if they want to secure Gordon’s signature.

Liverpool has yet to finalize any new signings

As noted in the report, Liverpool is currently the only club among Europe’s top five leagues that has not completed a signing this summer.

The club is working diligently behind the scenes to secure their transfer targets, especially as their Premier League rivals continue to bolster their squads.

While Diaz has been a positive addition to Liverpool, the club is seeking a younger option and has identified Gordon as the ideal replacement.
