Pep Guardiola broke down in tears after Key Manchester City Star boy who was suppose to be the main man against Chelsea has been injured this evening

Manchester City’s Oscar Bobb has sustained a horrific injury only days before the start of the new Premier League season.

Man City are aiming to win a record-breaking fifth consecutive Premier League title in 2024-25, and Oscar Bobb was expected to play a key role in their efforts.

The 21-year-old winger impressed in a number of cameo appearances last season, including a late-gasp goal in a 3-2 win against Newcastle in January.

Bobb had a fantastic pre-season with City, and he set up City’s equalizer in the Community Shield against Manchester United on Saturday.

The Norwegian international appeared to be one of Pep Guardiola’s top choices on the right side this season, but on Wednesday, it was revealed that Bobb had broken a bone in his leg.

Rumours circulated early Wednesday evening, when Jack Gaughan of the Daily Mail verified the news.

While City has not conducted a comprehensive evaluation, Bobb will be out of commission for some months.

With Bobb absent, Guardiola’s main option on the right wing is new signing Savio, though Phil Foden and Jeremy Doku can also play there.

This major injury setback, combined with Julian Alvarez’s departure to Atletico Madrid, may prompt City to look for a new attacking player.

City will open their Premier League championship defence with a possibly difficult trip to Stamford Bridge against Chelsea on Sunday, August 18.
