He is currently the best player in Liverpool Squad currently, I would pay £200million to have him at my club-Pep Guardiola says he’d pay £200m to have Liverpool man at his club, it’s not Mohamed Salah. Wow, Liverpool have such a Gem 💎

Liverpool has had a relatively quiet summer in the transfer market, but things seem to be picking up as the window nears its end, with a focus on possible player departures, including Luis Diaz.

Pipe Sierra recently mentioned on X that Barcelona’s interest in Luis Díaz is genuine. He shared that the Catalan club renewed their interest last week and are trying to structure a deal, possibly through some creative financial strategies. Although Liverpool has discussed extending Díaz’s contract, which currently runs until 2027, no concrete agreement has been reached.

While there were earlier reports about Manchester City’s interest in the winger, a move to Barcelona might be more acceptable to fans if Diaz were to leave during this window.

Diaz, who netted two goals in Liverpool’s final pre-season match, seems set to play a significant role for the team this season, making the speculation around his departure somewhat surprising.

However, Liverpool is well-covered on the left wing with players like Cody Gakpo, Diogo Jota, and Darwin Nunez, which could give manager Arne Slot confidence in his squad depth.

Selling Diaz might free up funds for a direct replacement or allow for cover on the right wing, where Mo Salah is currently the only natural option.

It remains uncertain whether Barcelona has the financial capability to meet Liverpool’s asking price for the 27-year-old, but they may still test Liverpool’s determination to keep him.

With the transfer window closing soon, finding a suitable replacement or making a new signing at a reasonable price could prove challenging.
