Arne Slot has made it clear that the first-half performance against Ipswich Town is unacceptable moving forward.
As noted by Lewis Steele on X (formerly Twitter), the Dutch coach expressed his frustration during the post-match press conference.
This comes after Slot made a decisive halftime substitution, bringing on Ibrahima Konate for Jarell Quansah to enhance Liverpool’s aerial strength.
The Reds’ second-half performance improved significantly, with Konate winning 4 out of 5 aerial duels against the Blues.
An early and important message from Slot
This isn’t the first time, nor will it be the last, that Liverpool has struggled in the first half.
