Manchester United player Bruno Fernandes gives verdict over Casemiro performance during their last match shameful defeat against Liverpool. “You Won’t Believe What Bruno Fernandes Just Said About Casemiro After Manchester United’s Humiliating Defeat to Liverpool – Fans are shocked

On Sunday, Manchester United faced a heavy 3-0 defeat to Liverpool, with much of the criticism directed towards Casemiro. The Brazilian midfielder was at the center of United’s defensive issues, particularly in the first half, when his mistakes led to both of Liverpool’s opening goals. However, Bruno Fernandes quickly came to his teammate’s defense, arguing that it was unfair to single out one player for a defeat that was the result of a collective effort.

The problems began when Casemiro lost possession, allowing Liverpool to score two rapid goals. United, playing at Old Trafford, saw their hopes dim early on as Casemiro’s mistakes provided Luis Díaz with the opportunity to score twice. At halftime, Casemiro was substituted, with young Toby Collyer taking his place. Unfortunately, this change did little to disrupt Liverpool’s dominance. In the second half, a mistake by Kobbie Mainoo allowed Mohamed Salah to capitalize, finalizing the 3-0 result.

This loss leaves Manchester United with only three points from their games against Fulham, Brighton, and Liverpool, heading into the international break. The defeat has reignited concerns about Casemiro’s form, with many fans and pundits questioning his place in the squad. Last season, the 32-year-old’s performance was already under scrutiny, and this latest showing is likely to fuel further debate.

During the summer transfer window, some supporters called for Casemiro’s departure, but no serious offers materialized. Now, following another disappointing performance, the question of whether United should have moved on from the Brazilian has resurfaced. Nevertheless, in the aftermath of the loss, Bruno Fernandes refused to blame Casemiro or even Mainoo, who also made an error that led to a goal.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Fernandes shared his frustration but insisted that individual mistakes were not the primary reason for the defeat. “We started the game well and created more chances,” said the United captain. “As we saw against Fulham, we need to be more clinical. Liverpool played like professionals, and that’s why they won. It’s not about one or two mistakes; it’s about the entire team.”

Fernandes continued, stating that goals in football often come from mistakes, but that’s part of the sport. “When you concede, it’s usually due to an error, but now is not the time to point fingers. Blaming a single player solves nothing.” He stressed that it would be unfair to criticize Casemiro or Mainoo for losing possession. “They were trying to make things happen, and that’s football. Risks are taken, and sometimes they don’t work out.”

When asked if he would speak to Casemiro after the match to offer support, Fernandes dismissed the idea, emphasizing that Casemiro does not need advice from him. “Casemiro has played for two of the world’s biggest clubs. He’s more experienced than I am and understands how football works.”

Fernandes also expressed his support for Mainoo, a young player still finding his way in the team. “Kobbie is a fantastic talent. These mistakes will help him grow, and I want him to continue playing with confidence. Both he and Casemiro are important to the squad, and we’ll need them moving forward.”

In closing, Fernandes was reflective about the defeat. “We need to stop focusing on what went wrong and look ahead to improving. Congratulations to Liverpool—they deserved the win. The game was close at times, but in the end, the score is what matters.”

Manchester United will aim to recover before their next match against Southampton on September 14, where they hope to turn their season around after a challenging start.
