Sancho, who came on for Pedro Neto at halftime, made a significant impact on the left wing and helped set up Christopher Nkunku’s winning goal.

Sancho, on loan from United, shared on Instagram: “Thrilled to make my @chelseafc debut and secure a win.”

Fernandes, who previously captained Sancho at Manchester United, responded: “What a player you are 🔥 keep that smile.”

Fernandes’ comment drew criticism from some fans. One called out, “Be serious, Bruno,” while another suggested, “Delete it.” Others remarked, “Are you kidding, Bruno?!!!” and “Some captain you are 😂 Roy Keane would have dragged you out by the collar.” Another fan accused Fernandes of disrespecting the club and its supporters.

Defending Fernandes, one fan said, “He’s just supporting a friend. This is what’s wrong with the world.”

Meanwhile, Fernandes had an assist in United’s 3-0 win over Southampton. Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca subtly criticized Erik Ten Hag, who had benched Sancho after a public dispute over training methods. Maresca commented, “I believe Jadon is a player who needs support.
