Good news for Manchester United and Game over for Manchester City As Manchester City appeal REJECTED as English FA slammed Pep Guardiola 115 count charges Facing BAN alert from PGMOL after breaking Financial Fair Play(FFP) 115 charges which is threatening the future of the Premier League Giants!. The Season is already over for them before it even started ๐Ÿ˜ญ

There are currently 115 accusations against the reigning Premier League champions, stemming from alleged violations of financial fair play regulations.

Both Everton and Nottingham Forest, fierce competitors in the Premier League, have also faced penalties due to breaches of the Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR).

EFL chairman Darragh MacAnthony, who also chairs Peterborough United in League One, expressed skepticism about the likelihood of significant consequences, drawing a parallel to Juventus losing a title during the 2006 Calciopoli scandal.

In an interview with talkSPORT, MacAnthony commented, โ€œIโ€™m not sure what the specific rules are for these kinds of allegations, and I donโ€™t know what kind of penalties would be imposed. Are teams docked two points per charge? It all seems unclear to me, even though the media will run with headlines like โ€˜relegation,โ€™ โ€˜bans,โ€™ or โ€˜titles stripped.โ€™ Yes, that happened in Italy, but I donโ€™t think you can rewrite history like that, and Iโ€™m not in favor of it.

โ€œEveryone in sports looks for ways to work around the rules. Speaking for the EFL, Iโ€™m not accusing Manchester City of doing this. However, when people aim to build the best team possible, they find ways to navigate around wage caps, regulations, and restrictions.

Iโ€™m not claiming anyone is breaking the law or violating rules, but rule-bending happens, and the Premier League is no different.

Manchester City, given their success over the past decade, are a prime target for media scrutiny. Letโ€™s wait and see what happens next.โ€

Amid the ongoing financial fair play issues, questions have also emerged about Pep Guardiolaโ€™s future at the club. MacAnthony pointed out that Guardiola is entering the final year of his contract, adding, โ€œI canโ€™t speak for Pep, but heโ€™s been with City for about eight years, which is a long time for him. Like Jurgen Klopp, after achieving so much, he might think, โ€˜I need a break.โ€™

โ€œThis is a high-stress job, and I understand why Klopp needed time off. Whether youโ€™re a manager or an owner, itโ€™s exhausting.

Since the pandemic, the constant demands have been overwhelming. People talk about physical and mental well-being, and these guys are definitely feeling the strain. I can only imagine what Pep is going through mentally and physically.

He might be due for some time away. If I were City, Iโ€™d say, โ€˜Pep, take a year off. Weโ€™ll let your assistant take over for a year, and you can return after a well-earned break.โ€™ I wouldโ€™ve done the same with Klopp.โ€

Whatโ€™s next?

With four consecutive Premier League titles under their belt, Manchester City have redefined football history. They are scheduled to play preseason friendlies against AC Milan, Barcelona, and Chelsea in the U.S. before kicking off their title defense on August 18 at Stamford Bridge.
