Heartbreaking news has been announced for Diogo Jota. Sky Sports reporter has confirmed it. ๐Ÿ’” This is a huge blow. He’s so unlucky! ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

Liverpool may face the possibility of being without both Diogo Jota and Federico Chiesa for their upcoming Champions League match against Bologna.

A recent training update indicated that although a scan on Jota’s foot injury revealed no major issues, there is still no concrete update regarding Chiesaโ€™s condition.

According to Vinny Oโ€™Connor of Sky Sports, “A positive development is that Darwin Nunez has returned to training after missing the Wolves match due to illness. However, Diogo Jota is absent from todayโ€™s training due to a foot issue. Although the scan showed no serious damage, his availability for the Bologna match remains uncertain, which may lead to Nunez starting instead.”

Oโ€™Connor also noted, “Thereโ€™s still no clarity on Federico Chiesaโ€™s situation, with further details expected from Arne Slot later on.”

Jota raised concerns after being seen limping off the pitch during Liverpoolโ€™s 2-1 victory over Wolves. It is anticipated that Arne Slot’s pre-Bologna press conference will provide more information on his injury status.

With the potential absences of both Chiesa and Jota, Liverpoolโ€™s injury woes grow, as they are already without Harvey Elliott, who fractured his foot during an England U21 training session in early September.

Fortunately, Jota’s progress seems positive, and there is optimism for good news on Chiesa as Liverpool heads into a packed schedule later in October.

The team faces four matches between October 20 and 30, offering Chiesa a chance to contribute and potentially give Mo Salah some much-needed rest.

Slot confirmed that Chiesa, who missed the latest training session due to minor injury concerns, will be unavailable for the Champions League clash but could be fit in time for the league fixture against Crystal Palace ahead of the international break.
