Liverpool boss Arne Slot has shared that goalkeeper Alisson Becker could be sidelined for “a few weeks” due to a hamstring injury. He also gave an update on Alexis Mac Allister’s fitness.
Alisson played a key role in Liverpool’s 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace, making important saves before being forced off in the 79th minute. Viteslav Jaros replaced him, as backup keeper Caoimhin Kelleher was unavailable due to illness.
This marks Alisson’s second injury of the season, following a thigh problem that kept him out for two games in September.
Additionally, Alexis Mac Allister was substituted at halftime, with Dominik Szoboszlai taking his place, raising concerns over his condition.

As for Mac Allister, Slot explained that while the midfielder could have continued, he felt some discomfort and decided to come off as a precaution. The severity of the injury is still unknown, and Slot added, “It’s in the groin area, and we’re unsure if he’ll be fit to travel to Argentina or play there.”
