Liverpool’s Alexis Mac Allister has returned to Argentina’s training camp in preparation for their upcoming World Cup qualifier against Bolivia on Wednesday.

Mac Allister was unwell following Liverpool’s match against Crystal Palace, where he was substituted at halftime by Arne Slot, with Dominik Szoboszlai taking his place.

In Argentina’s 1-1 draw against Venezuela, Mac Allister was sidelined due to a groin injury. However, he’s now back in training, ready for Argentina’s 10th South American World Cup qualifying game.

Currently, Argentina leads the standings with 19 points, three points ahead of Colombia, led by Luis Diaz.

Mac Allister has scored only once in this qualification campaign, netting in a 3-0 win over Chile, with an assist from Atlético Madrid’s Julián Álvarez.

Since his £35 million transfer from Brighton to Liverpool in the summer of 2024, Mac Allister has quickly become a key player under Jurgen Klopp. He played a vital role in his debut season, contributing seven goals and seven assists.
