The news all Liverpool fans feared about Trent Alexander-Arnold has been confirmed. Real Madrid are ready to sign Trent Arnold in January after recent balloon Dior scenarios and losing 4 nil to Barca Liverpool fans, look away! 😱👀
After an unexpected decision by Real Madrid on Monday, Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold might have reason to reconsider any plans of joining the club next summer.
In a recent interview with Sky Sports, the Liverpool right-back was asked which he would rather win—the Champions League, the World Cup, or the Ballon d’Or. Surprising many, the 25-year-old selected the individual Ballon d’Or, a choice that former Liverpool player Jamie Carragher found “strange.”
Carragher commented during Sky Sports’ coverage of Arsenal vs. Liverpool, saying, “You’re not winning the Ballon d’Or as a right-back for Liverpool,” and noted that “Ballon d’Or winners usually play for Real Madrid or Barcelona.”
Although Liverpool seems to be searching for a possible replacement for Alexander-Arnold, fans have commended his commitment to the team. They’ll be hoping he stays, especially given Real Madrid’s recent decision to boycott the Ballon d’Or event in Paris. Following a tough loss to Barcelona in El Clasico, Real had intended to attend in support of Vini Jr. as a potential winner. But when it became evident that he wouldn’t win, the club decided not to send representatives, which has been seen as a significant snub.
Spanish publication Marca, known for favoring Real Madrid, reported that the club was angered by the outcome and now considers the Ballon d’Or “irrelevant,” marking one of their strongest statements against the award.
This isn’t Real Madrid’s first protest of the event either; in 2018, Cristiano Ronaldo declined to attend after failing to secure the award. With Real Madrid’s latest show of discontent, Alexander-Arnold may now question if joining them would impact his own Ballon d’Or asp
irations.
