“It’s over for us, Barcelona will win the league”- HUGE BLOW as Xabi Alonso has stated that Real Madrid amazing superstar has suffered a HUGE injury damage after critically damaging his Kneel when training

Kylian Mbappe faces approximately three weeks on the sidelines due to a ligament injury in his knee. French publication L’Equipe reports that Mbappe underwent an MRI scan on December 31, confirming he’ll be unavailable for the foreseeable future. The report indicates the injury has been plaguing him for several weeks already.

Real Madrid officially acknowledged Mbappe’s injury through a statement released the same day.

“After examinations conducted today by Real Madrid’s medical team on our player Kylian Mbappe, he has been found to have a sprain in his left knee,” the statement read.

The injury will force the French forward to miss Real Madrid’s La Liga fixture against Real Betis on Sunday. His availability for next week’s Spanish Supercopa clash against city rivals Atlético Madrid in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, is also now uncertain.

Currently leading the La Liga scoring charts with 18 goals, Mbappé has been ever-present in the league this season and has contributed 29 goals across all competitions.

The timing of this setback is particularly problematic as Madrid attempts to close the gap on Barcelona in La Liga. The Catalan club sits atop the table with 46 points from 18 matches, while Madrid trails in second place with 42 points from an equal number of games.

The French star enjoyed an exceptional 2025 for Real Madrid, finding the net 59 times throughout the year. This impressive tally allowed Madrid’s number 10 to match Cristiano Ronaldo’s club record for most goals scored in a calendar year, a milestone Ronaldo originally set in 2013.
