Heartbreaking news has been announced for Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard 💔 This is terrible to hear. He doesn’t deserve this, he needs our support! 😭

Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard is reportedly close to being dismissed from his role at Al Ettifaq due to a string of underwhelming performances and his recent admission that he has prioritized watching his former club, Liverpool, over leading training sessions.

At age 44, Gerrard’s managerial reputation has already faced setbacks, notably from his challenging stint at Aston Villa. Despite these difficulties, former manager Harry Redknapp once suggested Gerrard as a potential candidate for the England managerial job, though Thomas Tuchel ultimately took on the role.

Gerrard’s time in the Saudi Pro League, ranked 72nd worldwide, has echoed the struggles he faced in England’s Premier League. Last season, Al Ettifaq finished sixth, accumulating only half the points of league champions Al Hilal. This season, Gerrard’s team has managed three wins out of eight matches, placing them 10th with 11 points and lagging 13 points behind Al Hilal, failing to secure a victory in their last five games.

According to The Sun, this recent downturn has left Gerrard on the brink of losing his position. His admission on RedmenTV about arranging training around Liverpool’s matches has reportedly been the tipping point for Al Ettifaq officials.

If Gerrard is dismissed from his £15.2 million contract, he may face further doubts about his standing as a capable football m

anager.
