Manchester City Manager Pep Guardiola has been sacked this early morning after losing back to back and his replacement has been named

Manchester City lost their opening Premier League match of the season against Bournemouth despite having a weakened and injured team.

Last time out, Bournemouth took a point at Aston Villa and defeated Arsenal at the Vitality Stadium. In the Carabao Cup, City’s much-changed team narrowly lost to Tottenham in midweek, their first loss of the season. This was City’s first league loss and their second straight loss overall.

As Josko Gvardiol, Savinho, and Manu Akanji recovered from injuries, Pep Guardiola welcomed back Jeremy Doku, Kyle Walker, and Kevin De Bruyne to his team. Ruben Dias and John Stones, however, were out and placed on the injury list.

Due to their poor play, City lost the first half to Antoine Semenyo’s turn and finish. Despite Josko Gvardiol’s late rally and consolation, City lost to the Vitality despite Evanilson’s second-half goal.
