“Rico Lewis: “Today has been a hard hit, I take the blame

Manchester City’s woes continued as they drew 2-2 with Crystal Palace, marking another disappointing result and performance. The match was marked by a chaotic start, with Palace taking the lead through Daniel Munoz in the fourth minute. City’s vulnerability was exposed, and they were fortunate not to concede a second goal thanks to Ruben Dias’s last-ditch block.

Erling Haaland equalized with a header, but Palace regained the lead through Maxence Lacroix’s first goal in English football. Rico Lewis scored the equalizer, but his subsequent red card for a harshly awarded second yellow card derailed City’s momentum.

Despite dominating possession and attacking reasonably well, City’s defensive woes continue to cost them. However, one player who stood out was Matheus Nunes, who put in another impressive display. Nunes created four chances, had three successful dribbles, and completed 92% of his passes. He also worked hard defensively, winning the ball back five times and making several clearances and tackles.

Nunes has been one of City’s best performers this season, rivalling the likes of Haaland, Dias, and Kevin De Bruyne. He has taken up a new position and made the most of the opportunity, consistently performing well on the ball and defensively. Nunes has been named City’s Player of the Month for November, and his form has been a rare bright spot in an otherwise disappointing season.
