‘I would have given up my dream’ – Kylian Mbappe reveals he nearly pulled the plug on Real Madrid move to stay at PSG for brother Ethan
Kylian Mbappe has revealed that he considered staying at Paris Saint-Germain last season in order to help his younger brother Ethan achieve his dream of playing for the French club.
In an interview with Canal+, Mbappe explained that Ethan had always idolized PSG and wanted to play for the team. Mbappe was willing to sacrifice his own aspirations of joining Real Madrid in order to support his brother’s dreams.
Mbappe recalled telling Ethan, “If you want me to, I’ll extend my contract and you can stay, we’ll stay here.” However, Ethan ultimately decided that he didn’t want to stay at PSG due to the way the club had treated Mbappe.
Mbappe’s comments provide a glimpse into the close relationship between the two brothers and the sacrifices they are willing to make for each other. Despite ultimately joining Real Madrid, Mbappe’s willingness to put his brother’s dreams first is a testament to their strong bond.
