This is what Jurgen Klopp did yesterday after Liverpool win over Leicester City This is beautiful, he still has Liverpool in mind

Curtis Jones shared that he received a congratulatory message from former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp following the team’s 3-1 win over Leicester City.

The midfielder, who celebrated his 100th Premier League appearance by scoring a decisive goal, was surprised by Klopp’s acknowledgment.

Klopp, who handed Jones his league debut against Bournemouth in 2019, left his managerial role at Liverpool last summer. Despite stepping away, Klopp remains deeply connected to the club and its players, even as he prepares to take up a new position with the Red Bull group next week.

Reflecting on Klopp’s impact, Jones credited his former manager for laying the groundwork for Liverpool’s current success under Arne Slot.

Jones admitted he didn’t realize he had reached the 100-game milestone until checking his phone after the match and seeing Klopp’s message.

“I usually text my family after games, but I noticed a message from Klopp saying, ‘Congratulations on 100 games, here’s to 500,’” Jones told Match of the Day.

“At first, I didn’t know what he was talking about. Then I checked and felt proud. Klopp built the foundation for this team, and Arne Slot has continued that legacy.”

Acknowledging the challenges ahead, Jones stressed the importance of staying focused. “Every game is tough, whether we’re playing teams at the top, middle, or bottom. The goal is always to win, and if we keep that up, everyone knows what the outcome can be.”

Reflecting on the Leicester City game, Jones praised the team’s adaptability and determination. “It was a tough match. They defended deep, making it hard to find openings. In the first half, we relied too much on crossing, which played into their strategy. After halftime, we adjusted, maintained possession, and the goals followed.”

Jones also commended Liverpool’s resilience, saying, “When we concede, we don’t give up. We fight back, equalize before halftime, and come out stronger in the second half. Our mentality is simple: we aim to

win every game.”
