Arne Slot’s second Liverpool signing will be this £50 million superstar. What a way to start the new era at the club! 😱

Liverpool have reportedly turned down multiple bids for their rising star Ben Doak, including a £15 million offer from Crystal Palace during the January transfer window, according to Sami Mokbel of the Daily Mail on X (formerly Twitter).

Currently on loan at Middlesbrough for the 2024/25 season, Doak has been in fine form, netting seven goals in 20 Championship appearances and playing a key role in Michael Carrick’s push for a playoff spot (5th place).

Despite the interest, Liverpool are standing firm. According to Sky Sports journalist Lyall Thomas, the club is impressed with Doak’s development and views him as a strong candidate for a place in Arne Slot’s first team in the future.

Although the Reds are relying on the stellar performances of Mo Salah and Federico Chiesa in attack, Doak’s consistent displays could see him emerge as a key player in the 2025/26 campaign.

Reports from Paul Joyce of The Times indicate that Liverpool value the 19-year-old closer to £30 million—twice what Palace offered—highlighting their confidence in his potential to enhance their already formidable attacking o

ptions.
