🚨 Heartbreaking news has been announced for Liverpool this morning as Liverpool defender has suffered season-ending injury. 💔 This is so sad. He needs everyone’s support. 😢

Another Injury Blow for Liverpool Youngster
A young Liverpool talent has suffered yet another heartbreaking injury just weeks after returning from a prolonged spell on the sidelines.
Scanlon’s Struggles Continue
Calum Scanlon, who joined Millwall on loan five months ago, had an unfortunate start, making only one appearance in September before a stress fracture in his back forced him to return to Merseyside for treatment.
After months of recovery, the 19-year-old finally regained fitness and was back on the pitch for Millwall in mid-January. Just as he was beginning to rebuild his momentum, disaster struck again. He lasted only 17 minutes in Millwall’s 1-0 victory over Luton last weekend before being forced off with a hamstring injury.
Millwall boss Alex Neil revealed (via Southwark News) that Scanlon has sustained a grade three hamstring tear, an injury that could sideline him for up to 12 weeks—potentially ending his season.
A String of Misfortunes
This latest setback is a cruel twist of fate for Scanlon, who had already endured four months on the sidelines. His hopes of securing regular playing time have been repeatedly dashed by injuries.
He isn’t alone in this struggle, as other Liverpool prospects, including Kaide Gordon and Stefan Bajcetic, have also faced major injury setbacks, hindering their development.
Jurgen Klopp previously praised Scanlon’s talent, describing him as “fun to watch” during pre-season 18 months ago. His loan move to Millwall was meant to provide him with valuable first-team experience, but persistent injuries have significantly disrupted his progress.
With the estimated recovery period, Scanlon’s chances of featuring again this season largely depend on whether Millwall makes a deep run in the Championship play-offs.
We wish him a speedy recovery and hope this is the last of his injury troubles, allowing him to fulfill his pot
ential in the future.
