Manchester City is reportedly preparing a £200 million offer to sign Barcelona’s Pedri this summer. The club aims to make him the highest-paid midfielder in the Premier League

Manchester City is reportedly planning to make a record-breaking offer for Barcelona’s Pedri in the summer transfer window. The club is willing to “break the market” with a staggering €200 million (£171.5m) bid for the 22-year-old midfielder, which would shatter the British transfer record.

Pedri has already established himself as a top talent, playing nearly 200 games for Barcelona and scoring 25 goals while providing 20 assists. He has won the La Liga title and the European Championship with Spain, making him a highly sought-after player.

According to reports, Manchester City has given up on signing Florian Wirtz, who was previously a top target to replace Kevin De Bruyne. Wirtz’s potential move to Bayern Munich might have scuttled City’s plans, with the player’s family reportedly impressed by the German club’s interest.

Meanwhile, Barcelona might get their chance to sign Bernardo Silva, who allegedly has a clause in his Manchester City contract allowing him to join the Spanish giants for £50 million. City is also open to offers for Jack Grealish, with Tottenham reportedly leading the chase for the England international.
