Chelsea star player has informed the club (Enzo Maresca) that he wants to leave the club this summer to join Bundesliga side

Chelsea is gearing up to kick off their 2025-26 season against Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge, but the club’s transfer activity is still ongoing. Despite a busy summer that saw the Blues sign several new players, Chelsea are looking to further trim their squad, with a few more departures expected.

Players like Kepa Arrizabalaga, Djordje Petrovic, Noni Madueke, Joao Felix, and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall have already left the club, and Carney Chukwuemeka is likely to be the next to depart. According to reports, Chukwuemeka is disappointed with Chelsea’s approach to players and no longer wants to play for the Blues.

The 21-year-old English midfielder had limited opportunities at Chelsea due to the club’s strong midfield, featuring players like Enzo Fernandez, Moises Caicedo, Romeo Lavia, and Cole Palmer. Chukwuemeka’s situation became even more precarious with the arrivals of Andrey Santos and Dario Essugo this summer.

Chukwuemeka’s loan stint at Borussia Dortmund last season seemed to provide him with some valuable experience, and the German club is reportedly interested in signing him permanently. With Chukwuemeka’s apparent discontent with Chelsea and limited prospects at the club, it seems unlikely that he’ll continue to wear the Blues’ jersey in the future.
