Good news for Chelsea Fans as soon to be manager Liam Rosenior was Spotted in Cobham

Chelsea appear to have received a significant boost in their pursuit of Strasbourg manager Liam Rosenior, with reports emerging that the French club has already begun exploring potential successors.
The Blues find themselves searching for a new head coach following their New Year’s Day parting of ways with Enzo Maresca, with Under-21s boss Calum McFarlane set to take charge of Sunday’s daunting trip to face Manchester City.
The club is understood to be determined to appoint Maresca’s successor quickly, and they wasted little time in identifying Rosenior as their top choice for the role.
The former Hull City manager has been leading Chelsea’s BlueCo sister club Strasbourg since 2024. He navigated the team to a creditable seventh-place finish during his maiden campaign while working alongside several Chelsea loanees, including Andrey Santos.
Chelsea now appear to be making substantial headway in their pursuit of the English tactician, as fresh reports suggest Strasbourg are already mapping out life without Rosenior at the helm.
According to Sky Italia’s sources, Rosenior’s trusted assistant Filipe Coelho has emerged as the frontrunner to step up should Chelsea successfully prise away their primary target.

The 40-year-old Coelho spent valuable time nurturing talent within Chelsea’s youth system before relocating to the Alsace outfit, where he worked with promising youngsters including Josh Acheampong and Tyrique George.
He made the switch to Ligue 1 last July, bringing with him coaching experience accumulated at both Benfica and Estoril’s academy setups.
Speaking during Friday’s press conference, Rosenior addressed the intensifying speculation linking him with the Chelsea vacancy, though he stopped short of ruling himself out of contention.
He stated: “There’s an enormous amount of noise and speculation swirling around, but as a manager, if you allow yourself to become consumed by it, you’ve already failed. My focus is entirely here, I absolutely adore this club.
“No, I haven’t sat down with the players to discuss it. There’s been no need—they’re fully connected to what we’re doing, and we’ve shared some lighthearted banter about the situation. Our attention has remained firmly fixed on our daily work. The ambition is to continue building something truly special here.
“In life, there are absolutely no guarantees. You simply cannot predict what tomorrow holds. I’m committed to doing my job to the best of my ability. Speculation has been a constant presence. I’m not going to stand here and guarantee how long my journey here will last, but I’m genuinely savoring every moment.
“I fully intend to continue embracing this experience for as long as I’m part of this project. I’m deeply passionate about this club, though I cannot offer any concrete assurances. Nobody can.”
