Sack him tonight or face huge consequences – Manchester City owner now want Pep Guardiola sacked tonight and is set to be replaced with three times Champions League Winner

Pep Guardiola shared his thoughts with BBC Match of the Day following Manchester City’s stalemate with Chelsea: “I can’t say I’m in agreement [regarding City losing their grip on the match]. They found the back of the net and perhaps that’s influencing how you’re viewing the overall performance. Certainly they elevated their game and showed greater intensity when pressing, and they created opportunities because we gave the ball away twice early in the second period. However, if your assessment is that they turned the tide of the match, that’s fine. Perhaps your perspective is more informed than mine.

“Chelsea fields a squad of world championship caliber. These aren’t youth academy prospects we’re discussing. We’re talking about elite-level footballers. Maintaining dominance throughout the entire 90 minutes against such a side is incredibly challenging. We squandered opportunities in the latter half, approximately four or five situations where we had numerical advantages of two against one or three against two. Our gifted players attempted to seal the victory but we weren’t able to accomplish that.

“The situation is straightforward. When examining all the statistical data across every measurable aspect, one key metric is your efficiency in the attacking zone. Overall, our defensive work, our movement, our playing style, was exceptional.”

Regarding the six-point deficit at the summit: “We’re getting players back to fitness and we’ll assess things come Wednesday.”

Rodri discussed his return to action with Sky Sports: “This means everything to me. The experience I’ve endured has been dreadful, so whether we triumph, draw, or suffer defeat, at this moment everything feels like a blessing. Simply participating, experiencing the pleasure of the sport, and rediscovering happiness – the rest will follow naturally, the wins, the achievements for the squad. At present, my focus is on maintaining fitness and taking pleasure in football.

“I underwent the phase where your body requires adaptation in terms of muscular conditioning. My strength is there. I require match sharpness, but considering where we are in the campaign and where I’ve come from, I’m feeling positive.”
