“It’s happening!” – Douglas Luiz’ Chelsea jersey number has been REVEALED as reports confirm the Brazilian star has agreed a Loan deal

Chelsea are prepared to pursue Douglas Luiz only if Juventus agrees to a straightforward loan arrangement for the midfielder, according to recent reports.
Luiz is currently spending time on loan at Nottingham Forest, where he has featured in eight Premier League matches this season.
Reports indicate that Sean Dyche’s team will be required to purchase Luiz for approximately €25 million (£22m) if he reaches 15 Premier League appearances before the season concludes.
Nevertheless, Chelsea are now attempting to disrupt that loan agreement and bring Luiz to Stamford Bridge to bolster their central midfield options.
With Romeo Lavia and Dario Essugo sidelined with long-term injuries, Liam Rosenior currently has only three natural central midfielders at his disposal: Enzo Fernandez, Moises Caicedo, and Andrey Santos.
Negotiations between Chelsea and Juventus have reportedly commenced, and while Luiz is receptive to the transfer, journalist Fabrizio Romano confirms that the Blues will only pursue the deal if there’s no mandatory purchase clause for the summer.
“Chelsea have approached Juventus to inquire about Douglas Luiz,” Romano revealed on his YouTube channel. “Club-to-club discussions are beginning, though these are still preliminary conversations.
“Chelsea have Enzo Fernandez, Moises Caicedo, and Andrey Santos, but they’re looking for one more addition, and Douglas Luiz on loan from Juventus is a genuine option.
“The player is willing to join Chelsea, so it now comes down to whether Chelsea and Juventus can find common ground. Chelsea are solely interested in a loan arrangement without any obligation to buy.
“They don’t want to be compelled to purchase Douglas Luiz when summer arrives. If they can secure a six-month loan deal, Chelsea would be happy to move forward. However, if these terms aren’t acceptable, Chelsea will walk away from negotiations.”
