Al-Ittihad Club N’Golo Kanté Ready to Join Chelsea — But Only If Three Serious Conditions Are Met

Bringing N’Golo Kante back to Chelsea on a temporary deal for the remainder of the season, with shared wage costs, seems like an obvious move, doesn’t it? The question is whether there’s any genuine interest from the club. If so, they should act immediately.

Despite approaching his 35th birthday, Kante maintains his exceptional stamina and continues to possess the skill, determination, speed, and strength needed for Premier League football.

But what’s the origin of these rumors?

According to reports, the ex-Chelsea player N’Golo Kante could be available for a temporary transfer this month, with Fenerbahce showing interest.

However, this doesn’t actually indicate Chelsea’s involvement or any discussions about his return. The mention appears to be merely a casual reference when listing potential midfield options the club might explore this week if necessary. There’s no evidence suggesting Chelsea is currently considering Kante, though perhaps they should be.

It’s clear Kante could still compete at the highest level—he was called up to represent France as recently as November, demonstrating his continued elite status.

His familiarity with Chelsea, his affection for the club, his Premier League experience, and his existing relationships with current squad members make him an attractive option. Picture him partnering with Moises Caicedo, his Chelsea successor, in midfield—that’s a formidable defensive partnership where opponents would struggle to break through.

Such a signing would help win over supporters. Kante would bring valuable experience, demonstrate leadership through his work ethic, mentor younger players, and consistently give maximum effort.

If it’s a simple loan with wages partially covered by his current club, and assuming Kante would be willing to return (which seems likely), this appears to be a straightforward decision.

Yet currently, there’s no indication Chelsea is actually pursuing Kante.
