๐จ OLE BACK AT THE WHEEL ๐จ Denmark wanted to bring the former Man United manager in for an interview but he’s already got other plans ๐ฑ
Former Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has reportedly declined the chance to manage Denmark, as he is currently in talks with a major club for a head coaching position.
Since his departure from Manchester United in November 2021, the 51-year-old Norwegian has turned down numerous job offers, including two from Saudi Pro League clubs. He was also linked with positions at MLS club Charlotte FC and Leicester City, following their promotion to the Premier League.
Despite these opportunities, Solskjaer remains without a club. Recently, Denmarkโs football association (DBU) approached him about taking over the national team after Kasper Hjulmand stepped down in July following a disappointing Euro 2024 campaign. However, Solskjaer chose not to pursue discussions with Denmark, as he is focused on negotiations with a major club, according to the Danish outlet Tipsbladet.
In a recent appearance at the Oslo Business Forum, Solskjaer was asked about a potential return to Manchester United. He expressed his attachment to the club, stating, โIf your family asks you, you say yes every day of the week.โ
He also spoke about his desire to return to management, mentioning during a February event in New Delhi, โIโve got at least one club job in me. It has to be an exciting opportunity, where I can be myself. After managing Manchester United for three years, I want to feel that pressure again.โ
Solskjaer’s passion for coaching remains strong, and it seems only a matter of time before he takes on a new c
