“It’s a good news they have gone back to him. He knows how to revive teams. I recommend him for te Glazers last but he decline the offer. But the New owners are going back to get him with a better offer to take United Job”-Sir Alex Ferguson reveals that Man Utd have currently ‘re-open’ talks with world-class manager who he recommended for the club to sign to replace Erik ten Hag and the New Manager.

Erik ten Hag’s position as Manchester United’s manager has come under increasing scrutiny following their 3-0 defeat to Tottenham at Old Trafford on Sunday. Concerns deepened after United gave up a two-goal lead in their Europa League clash against Porto, eventually salvaging a 3-3 draw with a late equalizer from Harry Maguire.

As reported by The Athletic, the club is adopting a “long-term approach” regarding Ten Hag’s future, indicating that even a loss to Aston Villa this weekend may not lead to his dismissal. However, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, a minority co-owner, and INEOS, have already been in discussions with potential managerial replacements over the summer, considering a change before ultimately renewing Ten Hag’s contract after their FA Cup win. Amid current uncertainties, these discussions could resurface.

One manager United reportedly reached out to over the summer was Thomas Tuchel, but he turned down the role due to concerns about the club’s hierarchy. According to i, if Ten Hag leaves, United could revisit talks with Tuchel, who is currently without a club after his time at Chelsea and Bayern Munich.

Ratcliffe reportedly favors Graham Potter or Gareth Southgate for the position, though the final decision would involve United’s leadership team.

Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri has also reported that United recently approached Simone Inzaghi, Inter Milan’s manager, about the role. However, Inzaghi is said to have declined, opting to remain at Inter.

Brentford’s Thomas Frank is another candidate who reportedly engaged in discussions with United before their surprise victory against Manchester City in last season’s FA Cup final.

Despite the links to various managers, current assistant coach Ruud van Nistelrooy, who joined the club this summer after a successful tenure at PSV, is currently seen as the bookmakers’ favorite to take over if Ten H

ag departs.
