Ruben amorim blast united flop after costly mistake vs Ipswich. “Onana will NEVER be my No. 1 next season—he’s FINISHED! Can someone explain why he came off his line like that?! The same mistake he keeps making in training, now costing us on the pitch! He has ZERO leadership, ZERO composure—this is NOT the keeper a top club needs! I don’t know what Erik ten Hag was thinking when he signed him, but no wonder he struggled! Get him OUT of my club—he’s NOT in my future plans. We are tired of seeing this guy in our team the fans are calling for him to be sold😡🙀

In a tense showdown at Old Trafford, Manchester United secured a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Ipswich Town, but the match was overshadowed by controversy surrounding goalkeeper André Onana. Manager Ruben Amorim didn’t hold back in his post-match remarks, delivering a scathing critique of Onana’s performance and casting doubt on his future at the club.

“Onana will NOT be my first-choice goalkeeper next season—he’s DONE!” Amorim declared in a heated press conference. “How many times do we have to see the same mistake? He keeps making these errors in training, and now it’s costing us in real games. A top club needs a reliable shot-stopper, not this!”

The manager’s frustration stemmed from an early blunder in the fourth minute, where a breakdown in communication between Onana and new signing Patrick Dorgu gifted Ipswich an easy goal. Matters worsened when Dorgu was sent off in the 43rd minute for a reckless challenge, leaving United with ten men for the rest of the match.

Despite the setback, United mounted an impressive comeback. An own goal from Ipswich’s Sam Morsy, followed by strikes from Matthijs de Ligt and Harry Maguire, secured the win. However, Onana’s costly mistake remained the main talking point.

This isn’t the first time Onana has been under fire. Earlier in the season, he faced harsh criticism for allowing a soft goal against Nottingham Forest in a 3-2 defeat. Fans have since taken to social media to demand his removal from the starting lineup. “How many more errors before he’s finally benched?” one fan ranted. Another added, “He keeps making the same mistakes—why is he still playing?”

Amorim’s patience appears to have run out. Initially, he had defended Onana amid past mistakes, stressing team responsibility. However, his latest comments suggest a clear shift in stance, signaling that the Cameroonian goalkeeper’s days at United may be numbered.

Reports indicate that the club is already exploring potential replacements, with Porto’s Diogo Costa and AC Milan’s Mike Maignan among the top candidates. As the season progresses, Onana faces mounting pressure to redeem himself or risk being shown the

exit door.
