Roméo Lavia: Out since the Club World Cup with a muscle issue, he has struggled for fitness since joining from Southampton. He could return on November 27 versus Brighton.

Benoît Badiashile: Still recovering from a muscle injury despite being tipped for a September return. Like Lavia, he is targeting the Brighton match on November 27.

Levi Colwill: Suffering from an ACL injury, Colwill may miss nearly the entire season, making his World Cup participation doubtful. His absence increases the defensive burden on Wesley Fofana, Nathaniel Chalobah, and Jorell Hato. No return date has been confirmed.
