“Manchester City have OFFICIALLY SACKED Pep Guardiola after disastrous Defeat against Manchester United— the new appointed coach SHOCKS every City fan!

Although Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City contract runs until 2027, speculation continues that he may depart the Etihad at the season’s end. The former Bayern Munich boss is growing weary of constant questions about his future, though he maintains that leaving is “not on the table” at present.
Speaking in December, Guardiola addressed the recurring speculation: “In the last three or four years, every time in a certain period, [you] ask me about that question. So yeah, sooner or later [I will leave], I don’t know, with 75 or 76 [years old] I will quit Manchester City.” He emphasized his contentment with 18 months remaining on his deal and his excitement about the team’s progress, while acknowledging the club must always be prepared for transitions.
“The problem is that there are no discussions,” Guardiola stressed. “End of the subject, there are no discussions. I said in my second season I will not be here forever. Not any of us will be forever in this world. The club must be prepared for everything, for the players, for the CEOs, except the owners unless they decide to sell the club. But that’s not on the table right now.”
When pressed further about whether this would be his final season, a frustrated Guardiola responded: “I answered that question two questions before! So I’m here. What’s going to happen? Who knows that? Football changes a lot. Now I’m focusing on West Ham, I’ll go and spend a few days with my dad, and that’s all.”
Could Maresca or Kompany succeed Guardiola?
After City’s disappointing derby loss to Manchester United, pundit Richard Keys made a striking prediction on beINSPORT. He suggested that recently sacked Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca could take over if Guardiola leaves within the next week. Alternatively, if Guardiola sees out the season, Keys believes Bayern Munich’s Vincent Kompany will return to the Etihad in a managerial capacity.
“I’ll say it again, I think it’s nailed on he’s gone at the end of the season but do not rule this out,” Keys declared. “Do not rule out him leaving this week. And if he goes this week, Maresca will be in charge for the match against Wolves.”
Despite colleague Andy Gray’s skepticism, Keys stood firm on his prediction.
Guardiola reflects on derby disappointment
Following the defeat that left City six points behind Arsenal at the summit, Guardiola conceded United were worthy winners and called for his team to learn from the setback.
“The better team won. They were better. When a team is better you have to accept it,” Guardiola told Sky Sports. “They had the energy we didn’t have, so congratulations. The goals we conceded were poor. We didn’t control, but in general we can’t talk about this action or that action. We have the duty to analyse the game in general and they were better.”
He added: “It is about how we grow up as a team. I have the feeling we have done very good things so far. To be better you may have to take a step back. The season is a long way and you have to continue to analyse.”
What’s ahead for Manchester City?
If Keys’ bold prediction materializes, Guardiola’s final match would be City’s Champions League fixture at Bodo/Glimt on Tuesday. Their next Premier League encounter is against Wolves on Saturday, a game Keys believes the Spanish manager will miss from the touchline.
