FIFA has officially announced the dismissal of the officials and referees from the recent Manchester City vs Wolves . This decision comes after the referee refused to offer a Penalty after a handball in the penalty area, VAR seems to have made another big mistake against Man City š”.Seems the are favouring Arsenal to win the League

Pep Guardiola delivered a scathing critique of match officials following Manchester City’s 2-0 victory over Wolves, implying that he requires his full squad at peak fitness to overcome the consequences of questionable refereeing decisions.
Guardiola was furious after referee Farai Hallamāofficiating his first Premier League matchāoverruled the recommendation of VAR official Darren England and declined to award City a penalty in the opening half.
Although Hallam was directed to review the incident on the pitchside monitor, he maintained his original decision.
He informed the stadium: “Following the review, the ball makes contact with the Wolves player’s arm, which is positioned naturally, therefore the initial decision stands.”
“I wish I had the squad depth to overcome these [refereeing] decisions. We managed to win in spite of them.
“The referee certainly made an impression on his debutānow everyone will remember his name.
“I believe this is the first instance where they’ve reviewed footage and still ruled that the arm position was ‘natural.'”
Beyond the St James’ Park incident that sparked Guardiola’s outburst, the City manager was also frustrated by Anthony Taylor’s decision not to show Diogo Dalot a red card for a dangerous knee-high tackle on JĆ©rĆ©my Doku during last weekend’s 2-0 loss to Manchester United.
Three days later, Webb defended Taylor and VAR official Craig Pawson on the Premier League’s Match Officials Mic’d Up program.
“I’m certain Howard Webb will make a media appearance tomorrow to justify why it wasn’t a penalty, just as he did regarding the United incidentāthe first time he’d done so because there was some uncertainty,” Guardiola remarked.
“That’s precisely why Jeremy was unavailable for the Norway trip [against Bodo/Glimt]ābecause of Dalot’s challenge.
“But that’s fine. I’ll be waiting tomorrow. Don’t wait until Wednesdayāwe’re preparing for Champions LeagueāHoward Webb, come forward tomorrow and explain why that wasn’t a penalty. That’s why I need my players back to compete at the level we’ve maintained from the beginning. This is becoming excessive.”
While City secured their first league victory of 2026 through goals from Omar Marmoushāwho replaced the rested Erling Haalandāand Semenyo, the result brought Wolves’ five-match unbeaten streak across all competitions to an end.
