According to The Sun, Marc Cucurella is eager to quit Chelsea after playing no part in any of the opening six Premier League games.

The left back was close to completing several deals over the summer, but nothing ultimately materialised, and he has essentially been rotting on the bench ever since.

Cucurella might play tomorrow night against Brighton, but it won’t make him change his opinion about the need to relocate as soon as possible. Along with Levi Colwill, the centre back that Mauricio Pochettino has been using there all season, there are two more left backs with whom he must contend.

The chances of Cucurella making more than a few starts throughout the season appear slim, therefore it’s up to him and the team to prevent January from being as disappointing for the full back from Catalonia as August was.
