“I told Liverpool board to help me sign him before Baby Coach Pep Guardiola lays his hand on him, he does not know how to manage this kinds of talents and keep benching them”- Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp now want to sign £70m Crystal Palace F.C. player who is aiming to play for Manchester City
Liverpool is apparently ready to spend a lot of money to beat Manchester City to a player they both want, Michael Olise, according to reports from Italy. Gazzetta dello Sport, which Paisley Gates quoted, says that the Reds are ready to pay between €60m and €70m (£52m and £60m) to get the Crystal Palace attacker this month. Football Insider had already said that Pep Guardiola’s team and Chelsea were interested.
Liverpool are interested in Olise because he has been playing so well for Crystal Palace lately. In his last four Premier League games, he has scored four goals and set up two others. Because he can play a lot of different spots on the right wing, the Frenchman could replace Mo Salah and become his long-term replacement.
It’s not clear if Liverpool will try to sign the 22-year-old this transfer window, but journalist Jacque Talbot claimed that they might make a permanent move next window, which would trigger a release clause. Luis Diaz’s great play on the right wing in Liverpool’s recent win over Arsenal might make it less important to sign Olise, especially since Mo Salah is at the Africa Cup of Nations.
It’s still unclear when a possible move might happen, but Olise’s current form and high demand mean that Liverpool are ready to spend a lot to get him and beat Manchester City to the deal.
