Premier League has been announced when Liverpool vs Manchester City match will be replayed
Liverpool had to settle for a draw after VAR examined the incident but maintained referee Michael Oliver’s ruling that there was no penalty.
In an interview with Sky Sports, former official Dean speculated that it might have been a penalty and called Doku “very, very fortunate.”
Klopp did, however, appear to mockingly acknowledge Dean’s involvement with the broadcaster and made a suggestion about how to avoid giving it out.
The Liverpool manager insisted that Doku should have been booked and that it was “100%” a foul in his post-match interview with Sky Sports.
Then Klopp joked, “You’ll find people. I believe you employed Mike Dean; is he currently employed by Sky? Congratulations! By the way, this is a fantastic appointment.
Like the others, he’ll find something. It is a penalty for all football players worldwide. You might not be a football fan if you don’t believe it to be one.
His apparent jab at Dean was well received by Liverpool fans on social media; one commented on X with the hashtag “Shots fired.”
Another said, “Klopp’s I Don’t Give A F*** Farewell Tour is endlessly entertaining.” “Mike Dean two-foots here carelessly just because he can.”
A third individual exclaimed, “This killed me completely.” Klopp is being disrespectful to Mike Dean.
Another person said, “Klopp firing shots at Mike Dean too, I thought I couldn’t love the guy more than I already did.”
Daniel Sturridge, a former Liverpool player, made a joke about his blazer and had the Sky Sports crew in stitches.
John Stones scored from close range after Kevin De Bruyne’s superb right corner was delivered to him at Anfield to give City the lead.
Darwin Nunez was replaced after being fouled by Ederson, and Liverpool equalised by a penalty kick from Mac Allister. Nunez had been hurt during the incident.
The Reds were unable to take advantage of the ensuing corner as the penalty appeals came well into stoppage time.
Only goal differential separates Klopp’s team and Arsenal at the top of the rankings, with City trailing in third place by a single point.
