Chelsea Manager Pochettino broke down in tears as TWO Key Chelsea player has been ruled out due to Injury before Totheham Huspor Clash in the premier League
Two more players will not play for Chelsea against Tottenham in the Premier League, according to Mauricio Pochettino.
Due to injuries, Chelsea has been missing a number of their starting players in recent weeks, including Ben Chilwell, Raheem Sterling, Reece James, and Enzo Fernandez.
During his pre-Spurs press conference, Pochettino stated that he had “no good news” about injuries and that Thiago Silva and Axel Disasi would not be playing on Thursday night at Stamford Bridge.
Pochettino responded, “No positive news since we cannot recall any players from the last [injury] list,” when asked about his squad’s status. Disasi and Thiago, who are unavailable for tomorrow, are the two additional people we must add.
When asked why Chelsea’s injury problems had been so severe this season, Pochettino responded, “I need to be honest. What I can say is that we have a different method.”
Of sure, there are things we could do more effectively. However, there are several situations, making it challenging to sum up in a single phrase or statement.
We have outstanding medical professionals on team with a wealth of industry knowledge. Next season, we must improve and be better. However, I believe the quality is here; this does occur occasionally.
Pochettino’s old team, Tottenham, who are now fifth in the Premier League, will visit Chelsea on Saturday. Spurs are still hoping to qualify for the Champions League.
In addition, Ange Postecoglou said on Wednesday that Ben Davies and Timo Werner will miss the rest of the season, meaning he will be missing two important players against Chelsea.
Before traveling to Stamford Bridge, Tottenham is seven points behind fourth-place Aston Villa, although they have two games in hand over Unai Emery’s team. Tottenham lost 3-2 to Arsenal in their north London derby on Sunday.
In the rematch earlier in the season, Chelsea defeated Spurs 4-1, and Pochettino declared it was “amazing” to be back at his old team. Pochettino led the team from 2014 to 2019.
“We played there [in the rematch in November], and it was fantastic.” Although it was my first time since leaving the club, the Argentine stated that things were different today.
“Coming up against folks I worked with for a long time will be emotionally taxing.” I can’t control my feelings for the club. It will be emotional, in my opinion, since you are playing against a team you used to play for and you remember that.
However, as I’ve already stated, Tottenham will come here to attempt to win, and we want to win for the whole ninety minutes. The game will be excellent.
