Former Manchester United striker Louis Saha has suggested that Zinedine Zidane could be the perfect choice to rejuvenate the club. Although Saha appreciates the efforts of current manager Erik ten Hag, he thinks Zidane’s rigorous standards could greatly improve the team’s mindset. With United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe facing a pivotal decision about Ten Hag’s future after a season that saw United win the FA Cup but finish a disappointing eighth in the Premier League, Saha’s comments carry significant weight.

In an interview with OLBG, highlighted by the Mirror, Saha expressed his admiration for Zidane: “Zidane is the manager I would love to see at Manchester United for obvious reasons. He’s eager to return to football, and I doubt he’ll stay out of the game for another year.”

Saha further elaborated on the transformative impact Zidane could have on the squad: “His presence at United would be monumental because many players would look up to him as a source of inspiration and motivation to raise their game, rather than settling for their current level. The current mentality at United doesn’t match what Zidane would bring. Too many players at United are inconsistent and don’t maintain high standards. Success requires having ten players committed to bringing the team back to the top.”
