Real Madrid have agreed to sell Rodrygo to Liverpool under one condition 🤝 We have to do this!

Liverpool are aware that they would have to surpass their current transfer record to secure one of their targets this summer.

New manager Arne Slot is looking to build on the foundation laid by Jurgen Klopp at Anfield. The Reds are actively pursuing new talent to contend for trophies next season.

Despite a third-place finish in the Premier League and a disappointing Europa League campaign last season, Liverpool aim to strengthen their attacking lineup. Spanish source Sport reports that one of their targets is Rodrygo from Real Madrid.

It has been reported that both Liverpool and Manchester City are interested in Rodrygo.

Had the player expressed a desire to leave Real Madrid, Liverpool would have been prepared to bid £100 million for him.

The 23-year-old Brazilian netted ten goals in La Liga and five in the Champions League last season, playing a key role in Real Madrid’s triumphs in both competitions.

Rodrygo’s ability to play as both a striker and a winger has attracted Liverpool’s interest.

However, it is believed that Real Madrid would have turned down Liverpool’s £100 million offer, demanding €150 million (£127 million) instead.

This figure would not only surpass Liverpool’s current transfer record but also make Rodrygo the most expensive signing by a Premier League club.

Although Liverpool are in need of a new attacker, it is unlikely they will meet Real Madrid’s valuation.

Consequently, they may need to explore more economical options that align with new manager Slot’s strategic approach. Slot aims to emulate Klopp’s success at Anfield and will require new signings to do so this summer.
