Thiago Silva Sends Firm Response To Fan Backlash As Ben Chilwell Makes Key Point
Silva responds to fan backlash
Thiago Silva has responded to a Chelsea fan who has suggested he should be dropped from the team after the 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest.
The Brazil international was nutmegged in the build up to Anthony Elanga’s goal and that was seemingly enough for one Blues supporter who admitted he though the veteran defender held Chelsea back.
However, it is fair to say Silva did not take too kindly to that comment as he replied to the Instagram with a subtle hint to Mauricio Pochettino.
Chilwell Makes Goals Claim
Ben Chilwell has revealed what Chelsea must do better if they are to improve after the 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues looked bright in attack with 21 shots on goal however only two of those forced Matt Turner into making a save, with Chilwell pinpointing the clear issue.
“We are moving in the right direction,” he said. “Every game we have controlled possession and the majority of matches we have played. We need to finish chances, be more ruthless and stay composed to get back into game. That’s the final bit, finishing our chances.”
Mudryk Slammed
Mykhailo Mudryk came in for more criticism following Chelsea’s shock defeat to Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
The Ukraine international was brought on in the second half and struggled to make an impact, instead nearly helping Nottingham Forest score.
He is also yet to score for the Blues, providing just two assists. And in the 19 matches he has played, Chelsea have won just twice with former Premier League striker Gabby Agbonlahor describing his performance against Forest as “absolutely useless”.
