Liverpool’s Europa League rivals Royale Union Saint-Gilloise have extended an offer to Eden Hazard to return to football, and the former Real Madrid star is “tempted to move closer to his family as both brothers play in Brussels.”
According to reports, Royale Union Saint-Gilloise is pursuing Eden Hazard, and the Belgian is thinking about making the transfer.
Real Madrid, the dominant team in Spain, released Hazard in the summer after he made just 76 appearances in his four seasons there.
For an initial £89 million, with the possibility to pay up to £150 million, Real Madrid acquired the winger from Chelsea; nevertheless, his time in Spain was marred by injury.
Hazard, 32, is currently without a club despite only having seven goals for the team.
He hasn’t been tempted to leave his Madrid house by any of the offers he’s gotten so far, but AS reports that Saint-Gilloise is now making an effort to convince him.
Hazard would relocate to the Belgian capital to live with his two brothers, Thorgan and Kylian.
At the moment, Kylian works for RDWM, while Thorgan plays for Anderlecht.
Hazard is taking his time to decide, which may be good news for Liverpool as they both play Saint-Gilloise in the Europa League.
