VERY SAD Pochettino news has been announced this morning as 21-year-old Chelsea player actually left Stamford Bridge in serious pain last night

According to journalist Noah Robson, Chelsea midfielder Moises Caicedo left Stamford Bridge in discomfort Friday night.

He posted on Twitter that the 21-year-old was clutching his knee when the game ended yesterday night.

It was heartening for Chelsea fans to see a game end with their club on top.

The Blues advanced to the next round of the EFL Cup after Nicolas Jackson scored the game’s only goal.

They defeated a very strong Brighton team, with Roberto de Zerbi fielding the strongest possible lineup from his deep roster.

Chelsea, on the other hand, secured their place in the next round thanks to some outstanding individual performances.

Cole Palmer, in particular, performed admirably in his debut start in a Royal Blue shirt.

Caicedo left in agony.
His participation gave Enzo Fernandez a well-deserved respite, but it will almost certainly serve as a springboard for future starts in the number 10 role.

With Fernandez out, Pochettino went with a midfield duo of Caicedo and Lesley Ugochukwu, who has been a key player at Stamford Bridge since his arrival in the summer.

But it wasn’t all good news. Robson stated that in the closing seconds, the Ecuador midfielder was spotted clutching his knee.

He continued, “Moises Caicedo now clutching his knee.”

Injuries have already threatened to derail the club-record signing since his arrival, despite never being a major issue in his career.

Supporters will be praying that it isn’t too serious and that he can play against Fulham on Monday night.
